Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you hit the road.

The Great WA Pub Crawl is a self-guided pub crawl stretching roughly 4,200km from Kununurra in the Kimberley all the way down to Esperance. 10 stops, 10 iconic WA locations.

Not at all, in fact you can take years to complete the crawl. Start in Fremantle, start south, start north — it makes no difference to us! Your progress will be logged through your unique passport link, forever and ever. We encourage you to do the crawl at a sustainable, leisurely pace, that suits your trip.

Each venue has their own unique QR code, hung somewhere punters can easily scan using their phone. If you can't find the code, ask one of the friendly staff across our epic venues — I'm sure they'll be happy to help you out.

No cost at all. Hit the "Join the Crawl" button on our home page and sign up for a free pub passport right now. How good?

Life would be a dream huh? Unfortunately no. We're all about supporting our regional WA venues who we think are pretty special.

Bragging rights, legend status? There's an official certificate for weary travellers who manage to tick off all 10. And thanks to our sponsor at Gage Roads Brew Co, the first 6 crawlers to finish a passport are up for some cold hard beer prizes.

No dramas, drop us an email with a selfie of yourself outside the venue and our admin team will make sure you get the stop ticked off.

Not at all, the crawl is about the stunning vistas and friendly pubs, the beers simply a bonus. All of our stops offer food, non-alcoholic options and much more. The Great WA Pub Crawl supports responsible alcohol consumption, and is 18+ only.

Flick us a message at greatwestaustralianpubcrawl@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram — we're always happy to help plan your route.

No worries, flick us an email with your first and last name at greatwestaustralianpubcrawl@gmail.com or DM @greatwapubcrawl, and we'll track it down for you.

It's about 4200km all up, a bloody long way! If you're tackling the route all in the one go we'd recommend setting aside at least a good month or two. This gives you the time to soak up each stop at a leisurely, sustainable pace. Keep in mind that it can take a couple days to travel between stops (especially in the Kimberley/Pilbara region) so best to plan with some rest time in between. We highly recommend taking your time and soaking up some gorgeous WA vistas!

No, the route sticks to sealed highway between all 10 stops so a standard car will get you there. Factor in some long distances between legs, especially through the Pilbara and Kimberley.

Although the crawl can be completed anytime of year, we'd recommend May–October. This is the best time weather-wise for our friends up north. The Great Southern region can be chilly between these months so make sure to rug up!
